Adrian hails originally from St Albans where he sang in St Peter’s church choir from the age of six and he still supports the City football team to this day. He read Music at Durham University and is now a purveyor of fine papers.
In addition to being Musical Director of de Merc Chamber Choir, he is musical director of the choir of St Mary at Latton Church, Harlow.
He plays organ and piano (which he also teaches) and frequently composes and arranges for his choirs. He is a singer in his own right as a bass and alto.
In his spare (sic) time, he is an active cyclist which leads him inexorably to many a delightful village church and pub which the choir inevitably visits later. He has a gift for ferreting out interesting restaurants and hidden-away real-ale breweries and pubs which he again shares with other members of the choir.
He is a keen gardener with a prolific allotment which seems to produce an endless supply of courgettes in the summer (but then, don’t they all?).
Adrian is married with two daughters and lives in Harlow.
